MEET LYNNETTE

Meet Lynnette the owner of the friendly little boutique hidden up a cobbled street.

Lynnette truly has a passion for Fashion and the Arts and it all started when she got her first job on Nottingham Victoria Center Market at age 13 selling clothing.  She got the buzz from selling, talking to customers and sorting the stock out. She knew from then on she wanted to one day start up her own market stall and one day shop.

She started to learn to sew on the sewing machine with her mum and mamma whilst at primary school and soon started making bobbles to sell to friends in her school.  In her teens she then started making clothes and customized second hand clothing to sell on and then started working in House of Fraser in her late teens.

Fast forward to her 20's she began a career as a Field Sales Rep and Account Manager whilst still selling her own craft and clothing makes but after redundancy she started saving her money and opened her first boutique in her 30's then she opened her second but faced challenges along the way with disruption to the town when it got pedestrianized which took over 2 years to complete which effected all the businesses on the high street where she was located and resulted in lots of closures. Lynnette then had more bad luck when a lorry drove into the front of her shop which left the shop in complete devastation to the property internal and external which resulted in Lynnette having to finally close her boutique.

With determination Lynnette went and got a job at Tesco and worked through the whole pandemic to save once again in a sight to re open her boutique in Kimberley where she spotted the perfect shop on a cobbled street to let and was preying no one would let it whilst she had to save up.

Whilst working at the supermarket she then caught Covid which prolonged into Long Covid and then Pneumonia it set her back but then started selling her crafts and up cycled furniture to keep saving.  Once fully better she went to the view the little shop up the cobbled street and after 2 years it was still there ready to let. It completely felt it was meant to be and with her husband they got to it, renovating a extremely tired and run down empty shop.  The happiest day came when she finally opened Blossom & Belle in Kimberley.

Lynnette continued to work has a Display Rep in retail shops in the evenings until she built the business up and now the little shop has become a busy little hub of regulars as well as new faces and and now is celebrating launching her website.

Lynnette has never felt so settled and at home in Kimberley and now even lives in the little town and loves the community spirit and how friendly it is.

She believe now all the previous bad luck was all meant to be.

With a passion working markets you will find her Pop Up stalls around the East Midlands but now mostly seasonal.

With her passion for Art and Acrylic painting you will be sure to find the occasional up cycled piece of furniture for sale in the boutique.

With Lynnette's keen eye for fashion and accessories you can catch her on the boutiques socials creating videos, putting together outfits and having a good old chat about WHATS NEW.

Lynnette prides herself in giving honest feedback when you ask for her advice and loves to create a friendly warm happy environment for you to all enjoy a mooch.
